FCLCA works with interfaith partners and in coalition with other advocacy organizations to promote legislation that addresses California's shamefully high poverty rate and improves the lives of our state's children and families. FCLCA is an active participant in these coalitions:
Prosper California (CalEITC Coalition)
End Child Poverty in California Coalition
California Work and Family Coalition
Health Access: Health4All/Care4All
FCLCA advocates for strengthening the state's safety net, ensuring high quality and affordable child care, parent-friendly leave policies, workers' rights, economic security for vulnerable populations, affordable housing and programs to address homelessness, and other measures that increase economic equality and opportunity.
FCLCA advocates for laws that protect low-income and immigrant workers and that promote racial and gender equity.
We strongly support policy changes that will make health care more accessible and affordable to vulnerable or previously excluded populations.
